The BoxoPROJECTS Artist Residency provided an amazing creative environment in the California high desert, Joshua Tree, during which the planning and development for a research-based Arts and Humanities project, "Contradictions – Bringing The Past Forward" evolved. The project documents, visually interprets, and honors the legacy of African American Homesteaders in the Mojave Desert. The multimedia installation was exhibited at the San Bernardino County Museum, Redlands, CA and traveled to the Victor Valley Museum, Apple Valley, CA.
