Gothard introduced her Blog, Mojave Contradictions, to share the ongoing creative process as she developed her art and humanities exhibition, "Contradictions - Bringing The Past Forward". The exhibit is believed to be the first visual interpretation of the stories of the twenty three African American families that homesteaded in the Mojave Desert in 1910.
